About us

At Proflo, we believe that reliability, quality, and innovation are the foundations of excellent plumbing products. For over 20 years, we have been committed to designing and manufacturing toilets, faucets, sinks, and other essential bathroom and kitchen fixtures that meet the highest standards for performance, sustainability, and value.

Our Story

Proflo was founded in 2001 by a group of engineers and product designers who shared a vision for bringing meaningful improvements to the plumbing industry. They believed that most existing products on the market were outdated, inefficient, and environmentally wasteful – and that consumers deserved better.

Drawing on their decades of combined experience, the Proflo team set out to completely rethink the traditional approach to manufacturing bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Rather than focus on cutting costs, they prioritized research, thoughtful design, advanced engineering, and rigorous testing. No detail was too small to perfect when it came to enhancing durability, functionality, and water conservation.

This obsessive attention to excellence is what allowed Proflo to disrupt the status quo and introduce a new generation of plumbing solutions to homeowners, contractors, architects, and builders. Our very first tankless toilet, released in 2003, reduced water usage by up to 60% compared to conventional models – setting a new standard for high-efficiency performance.

Over the years, we have continued to challenge ourselves and the industry to develop break-through innovations that save water, last longer, and look beautiful. We’ve grown from a small startup into one of the most trusted and recommended brands by plumbers across America.

But through all of this progress, the spirit of our founding principles remains unchanged. Every Proflo product is created with the same commitment to reliable engineering, sustainability, and lasting value that launched us in 2001.

Our Values

These core values guide our work and shape the Proflo culture:

Reliability

We don’t release any product unless it has passed rigorous stress testing and can withstand years of frequent use. Our toilets must flush 800 grams of waste in a single flush over 100,000 times. Faucets undergo 500,000 cycle wear tests. This extreme focus on performance ensures that Proflo products will work flawlessly over their full lifetimes.

Efficiency

Water conservation is a key focus. We were one of the first brands to pioneer ultra-high-efficiency toilets using as little as 1.0 gallon per flush. Our faucet aerators and showerheads are designed to use every drop of water wisely. Efficiency also applies to design – our products are thoughtfully engineered to minimize material waste and environmental impact.

Quality

Proflo fixtures are made to last at least 20 years of regular use and require little maintenance. We use premium materials like vitreous china, chrome-plated metal, and antimicrobial plastic. Our manufacturing process checks every component for defects and inconsistencies. We back up this build quality with generous warranties.

Value

While Proflo products carry a premium over standard models, we think our proven combination of performance, sustainability, and durability offers an exceptional return on investment over years of dependable service. We aim to provide the best plumbing solutions on the market in their price range.

Customer Service

The Proflo team cares deeply about the people who choose our products for their homes and facilities. We provide thorough resources and responsive support to consumers before and after purchase. Your satisfaction means everything to us.

Innovation

Complacency is the enemy of meaningful progress. Our engineers are continually exploring ways to enhance our products through new technologies and fresh thinking. We hold several patents on advanced toilet flushing systems, faucet designs, and other unique improvements.

Our Product Lines

The Proflo brand includes a wide assortment of thoughtfully-designed fixtures for bathrooms and kitchens.

Toilets

As pioneers in the high-efficiency toilet space, Proflo offers models that lead the industry in low water usage, reliable performance, ease of cleaning, and durability:

  • Dual-flush toilets – These allow you to save water by choosing between a full 1.6 gallon flush or reduced 1.1 gallon flush. They meet EPA WaterSense standards and remove waste just as effectively as standard 1.6 gpf models.
  • Single-flush HETs – For even more water savings, our 1.0 gpf and 1.28 gpf single-flush toilets surpass modern efficiency standards. Available in both round and elongated bowl designs.
  • Comfort height toilets – Chair height seats at 17 to 19 inches off the ground make sitting and standing easier for most adults. Available across our flushing options.
  • Powerful tankless flush – Patented tankless system generates strong siphon action while maintaining water efficiency.
  • Easy-to-clean design – Innovative bowl shape, sloped inner rim, and 3″ fully-glazed trapway prevent streaks and buildup.
  • Soft-close seat – Top mounted hinges gently close the seat to prevent slamming. Quick-release functionality makes replacing the seat simple.
  • Floor mounted model – For a sleek contemporary style, we offer a durable floor mount toilet with concealed trapway. Uses 1.0 gpf.

Toilet Seats

Proflo manufactures high-end toilet seats to fit most all major toilet brands and bowl shapes. They come in multiple designs:

  • Wood seats – Mahogany, oak, and walnut finished seats made from sustainably-harvested solid wood. Contoured for comfort.
  • Molded wood seats – Affordable simulated wood grain finish over durable plastic. Matches most toilet colors.
  • Plastic seats – Our most affordable basic seat option with antimicrobial finish to inhibit bacteria and mold.
  • Slow-close functionality – Silent and controlled closing is smooth and safe for little fingers.
  • Quick-release hinges – Allows seat to detach easily for cleaning and replacement. We also sell replacement seat hinge kits.

Faucets

The Proflo faucet collection focuses on exceptional quality, convenience, and a range of styles for every sink:

Our Commitment to Quality

Maintaining rigorous standards for performance, reliability, and safety is a point of pride for Proflo.

We closely monitor every step of the manufacturing process at our US-based factories. Custom-formulated raw materials, proprietary molds, robotic assembly cells, skilled technicians, exhaustive testing protocols, and automated visual inspections all contribute to ensuring that every Proflo product meets our strict specifications.

Our quality control engineers subject fixture prototypes to extreme stress tests: flushing toilets thousands of times consecutively, turning water on and off hundreds of thousands of times at our faucet life cycle stations, and mimicking decades of use and abuse. This helps identify even the smallest opportunities for improvement in areas like material durability, mechanical integrity, leak prevention, and ease of installation.

We are continually optimizing and refining our designs based on feedback from customers, plumbers, home builders, and our own real-world product testing. The goal is to deliver solutions that are thoughtfully engineered to minimize frustrations, prevent failures, and provide lasting value.

Proflo products carry certifications from leading plumbing safety and performance organizations:

  • WaterSense – Efficient models independently certified for water conservation by the EPA
  • ADA – Toilets, faucets, and other fixtures meet Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards
  • ASME – Complies with American Society of Mechanical Engineers standards
  • CSA Group – Testing and approval for North American safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • IAPMO – Meets International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials Uniform Plumbing Code
  • NSF – Third party testing to confirm sanitation, durability, and lead-free compliance

Environmental Responsibility

Water conservation is a key tenet of our brand. We are proud to be leaders in sustainable plumbing fixtures that drastically reduce residential and commercial water usage while still delivering robust performance:

  • Proflo ultra-high-efficiency toilets use at least 30% less water than the current 1.6 gallon federal standard. Our most efficient models operate at just 1.0 gallon per flush.
  • Low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators restrict water flow while maintaining effectiveness through intelligent engineering.
  • Advanced faucet valves, sensors, and lever designs prevent leaks and limit unnecessary water use.
  • Durable vitreous china, premium metals, and antimicrobial plastics extend our products’ useful lifespans, keeping them from landfills.

We are also committed to responsible practices throughout our US-based factories:

  • Our manufacturing processes minimize raw material waste at every step.
  • We use recycled materials in select components and packaging.
  • Efficient processes reduce energy consumption, and facilities utilize renewable energy sources.
  • Wastewater is treated and reclaimed for landscaping irrigation.
  • Employees actively participate in conservation initiatives and training.

But our work is never done. We will continue pushing ourselves to develop even more efficient fixtures that responsibly reduce water usage while delivering an exceptional user experience.
